CONNECTICUT UTILITY ENERGY EFFICIENCY
- During 1999, the board recommended expansion of general energy efficiency
programs under Section 33. According to recent filings, total program funding
will likely double. The two largest electric utilities will expand their annual
low-income energy efficiency expenditures from about $2 million to $6.5 million,
beginning in January 2000. One utility will increase the number of low-income
homes served from 4,000 to 6,000. See electric
utility restructuring legislation.
