INDIANA FUEL FUNDS
- Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) Gift of Warmth fuel fund, private and
NIPSCO customer donations are matched by company discount/waiver. A cash payment for
a recipient's home energy cost is supplemented by matching credit.
- Cinergy PSI Energy Helping Hand fuel fund is funded by shareholder, customer and
employee donations. The fund matches $1 for every $1 made available by an eligible
customer up to a maximum of $90 over a three month period.
- Donations from Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company (SIGECO) customers, private
donations and company seed money contribute to the GAP fuel fund. A cash payment for
a recipient's home energy cost is supplemented by discount/waivers, amounting to $271,855
in FY 2001.
- Customer and corporate funds for the Vectren Share the Warmth fuel fund provide payment
for home energy after the state moratorium on utility shut-offs ends March 15.
Payments totaling $279,034 restored or maintained gas service in FY 2001.
- Citizen's Gas Warm Heart/Warm Home, $267,201 for FY 2001.
- Cinergy's HeatShare matches annual donations up to $100,000 from Cincinnati Gas &
Electric (Ohio) and Lawrence Gas (Indiana) customers. HeatShare is administered by The
Salvation Army.
