MICHIGAN STATE PUBLIC BENEFIT FUNDS FOR RATE ASSISTANCE
- February 2002, the Public Service Commission approved grants totaling $27.4
million from the Low-Income
and Energy Efficiency Fund. Of the $27.4 million, $12 million will supplement
payments to LIHEAP households and $3 million will expand the State Emergency
Fund through Community Action Agencies. The majority of the remaining funds
provide assistance through fuel funds. See electric
