Michigan State Public Benefit Funds for Energy Efficiency

Michigan's 2000 restructuring law legislation created the Low-Income Energy and Efficiency (LIEE) fund to provide energy payment assistance and fund energy efficiency programs. On October 14, 2003, the Michigan Public Service Commission approved grants totaling $9,797,690 million for low-income energy efficiency improvements and energy education.
