Illinois State and Local Funds

Funds from the Illinois Housing Development Trust Fund are used for weatherization measures and minor repairs for low-income homes. Two hundred households received average benefits of $4,858 in 2005.

The City of Chicago is providing about $2.1 million each year for the next six years for LIHEAP and emergency housing.
